Q -Why is it so difficult to find insurance for professional sports people?

A -Most insurers cater only for the mass market -after all, there are far more Ford Mondeos to insure than sports professionals. There is also the potential risk to insurers of accidents involving sports professionals, as claims for loss-of-earnings have deterred many insurers from entering the market.

So it’s left to the professional insurance people to listen to individual needs, taking the individual out of the pigeon hole they have been placed in.

Q -I'm in the UK visiting from abroad to play for a club for this season only. Can you still provide me with cover?

A -The simple answer is Yes. We will need to know a few more details about your driving licence and how long your stay is in the UK, but we can still provide you with cover.

Q -Playing sport is not my only profession -will this affect my policy?

A -Generally no, but you should provide us with details of your business activities to ensure we get you the cover you need.
